General Information\u00a0 and GDPR?<\/strong><\/p>\n

May 25, 2018, the new\u00a0<\/span>European Data Protection Regulation<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>(GDPR) enters into force.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The regulation will be implemented in all local privacy laws throughout the EU and the EEA.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>It will apply to all companies that sell and store personal information about European citizens, including companies on other continents.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>It gives citizens in the EU and the EEA greater control over their own personal data and ensures that information is protected throughout Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Strong Customer Authentication (Strong Customer Authentication) SCA<\/strong><\/p>\n

The EU’s new Payment Directive (PSD2) enters into force on September 14, 2019, and in line with this, there will be stricter security requirements for certain payments in the EU \/ EEA area. The purpose of the amendment is to reduce the risk of fraud. This can affect how you as a customer pay because in many cases so-called strong customer authentication will be required.<\/p>\n

What does strong customer authentication mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n

When the Skottneset\u00a0 Holiday Center receives a payment notification, it is important to know who is behind the payment. To verify this, we ask that you identify yourself, that is, you confirm that you are who you are. Strong customer identification is when multiple components (something you can, something you are, something you own) are used as independent identification criteria – this helps to protect you from unauthorized transactions.<\/p>\n

A concrete example of strong customer identification is signing with BankID on mobile. BankID is an identification solution that is stored on the mobile SIM card. To log in with BankID on mobile, enter your mobile number, date of birth and self-selected PIN code.<\/p>\n
